A Nigerian man, identified as Onaimor Great, has gone viral on social media for his dramatic display of gratitude following the birth of his first child after three years of waiting.
In videos posted on his Facebook page on Sunday, Onaimor was captured kneeling and rolling in a muddy puddle while repeatedly shouting “Thank you, Jesus” as onlookers watched and recorded the emotional moment.
The videos, which have since attracted wide attention online, showed him drenched in mud but undeterred as he continued to express joy over what he described as a long-awaited miracle.
Sharing the clips, Onaimor revealed that the arrival of his baby boy coincided with his third wedding anniversary. “The battle wasn’t easy, but God’s grace, mercy and love brought us through. My wife’s successful delivery of our baby boy is a testament to His goodness,” he wrote.

He further explained that his actions were a spontaneous expression of faith after a difficult journey to parenthood. “When my wife gave birth, I was overcome with gratitude, rolling on the ground in thanksgiving, unmindful of the water around me. It was a moment of pure surrender to God’s love,” he added.
Onaimor’s testimony has drawn hundreds of congratulatory messages on Facebook, with many Nigerians commending his open display of thanksgiving.
Public expressions of gratitude to God after major life events such as weddings, births, and healings are common in Nigeria, especially within Christian communities, where gestures such as kneeling or rolling on the ground are regarded as signs of humility and surrender to God.
