Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum said PDP would reclaim power at the centre from the ruling All Progressives Congress in 2023.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the forum and governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal on Sunday at a banquet organized by the Akwa lbom government, ahead of the forum meeting in Uyo.
He said plans have been in pipeline on how he and his colleagues will help the party to reclaim glory from the APC in the coming general elections.
“God on our side, we are determined as leaders, to provide that platform for the emergence of another PDP leadership in 2023,” Tambuwal said.
He also implored the party members and citizens across the country not to cease in praying for the country at the current crucial period.
Meanwhile, the PDP National Legal Adviser, Emmanuel Enoidem said the National Working Committee was proud of the governors.
“If there is any hope of democracy in Nigeria, it has come from the PDP governors because of their excellent performance in their states,” he stressed.
Other governors in attendance for the programme include; governors of Adamawa, Delta, Enugu, Rivers, Taraba, Bayelsa, Edo and the deputy governor of Zamafara State.
