Regular flight operations to and from Lagos will resume at 4pm on the same day, in line with our scheduled services.

“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause our valued passengers whose travel plans are affected.”

Certain individuals and groups, however, were exempted from this restriction.

Meanwhile, the Lagos branch of the African Action Congress (AAC) expressed doubts about the readiness and conduct of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) as the elections approach.

In a statement issued Tuesday, the 8th of July AAC State Secretary Jegede Kehinde accused LASIEC of lacking fairness and transparency in the election process.

“Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission LASIEC must have known that the local government election is not a joke, as we are seriously looking for a government that will be impacted positively by people at the grassroots,” he said.

Kehinde also criticised the LASIEC chairman and board members for their approach to organising the elections.
