Troops of the Joint Task Force (JTF) North East under Operation Hadin Kai have arrested two suspected Boko Haram logistics suppliers in Yobe State.
According to intelligence sources quoted by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagagola Magama, on Monday night, the suspects were arrested during a snap checkpoint operation conducted by troops of the 233 Tank Battalion deployed at Rabangida in the Dapchi–Geidam general area.
The suspects were identified as Goni Abba, 30, and Ali Bukar, 30, both indigenes of Areyanari village in Yunusari Local Government Area of Yobe.
Items recovered from them include ₦33,150 in cash, one Android phone, and a blue tricycle with registration number TMW-426WB loaded with assorted foodstuffs and household supplies suspected to be intended for insurgents.
Other items are bags of sugar, flour and rice, cartons of beverages, soaps, detergents, spaghetti, macaroni, cooking oil, sweets, matches and other consumables.

It was gathered that troops further combed the surrounding area after the arrest but made no additional arrests or contact.
The military said that the suspects and recovered exhibits are currently in military custody for profiling and further investigation.
The military high command said operations would continue across the theatre to disrupt insurgents’ logistics networks and deny them freedom of action.
