The U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, Richard M. Mills, Jr, has honored the sacrifice of American service members who died in the line of duty.
The ceremony highlighted the United States’ steadfast dedication to commemorating and honouring the sacrifices paid by its military personnel.
Mills, Jr sent his tribute in a statement shared on the X handle of the United States Diplomatic Mission Nigeria, on Monday.

Ambassador Mills honoured the memory of the fallen, expressing that this tribute acknowledged their dedicated service and the ultimate sacrifice they made for the people and the nation of the United States.
The statement read, “On Memorial Day, Ambassador Mills laid a wreath to honor all fallen U.S. service members. We remember those who gave their lives for the people and nation of the United States.”
