Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have neutralised 10 terrorists and recovered a cache of weapons and equipment during a precision night operation along the Gamboru–Dikwa–Marte axis in Borno State.

According to a statement released on Sunday, by the Media Information Officer for the Joint Task Force (North East) OPHK, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, the latest operation comes just days after troops neutralised over 50 terrorists at the Katarko axis.

The statement said that troops from Sector 1, 24 Task Force Brigade, thwarted an attempt by insurgents to infiltrate Gamboru Ngala from the Flatari axis late on October 25, 2025.

After suffering heavy casualties, the terrorists diverted toward Dikwa, where they were ambushed and decisively defeated along the Dikwa–Marte road.

“At approximately 23:50 hours, while manning a pre-established ambush position, the troops identified and engaged the hostile elements with heavy and accurate suppressive fire, forcing them to retreat in disarray,” the statement read.

A clearance operation confirmed that 10 insurgents had been killed.

A search of the area led to the recovery of a substantial cache of arms, ammunition, and other combat materials.
