The Police Command in Enugu State says it has arrested a couple and a nurse for alleged child trafficking after selling a one-day-old baby girl.
According to a statement by intelligence Sources quoted by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, on Tuesday, the suspects, identified as Godwin Enyikpo, 30, and his wife, Ndidi, 25, were arrested by detectives from Emene Division following credible intelligence.
It was gathered that the 32 years old nurse, identified as Ijeoma Oma, who allegedly facilitated the sale of the baby was also arrested.

The statement further explained that the police have intensified efforts to track down other accomplices and rescue the baby.
The Commissioner of Police had directed thorough investigation to ensure that all those connected to the crime were brought to justice.
