The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has announced the arrest of two suspects in connection with the brutal killing of Mr. Chen Wang, a Chinese national and employee of WH Great Resource Ltd., Ogere, Ogun State.
The breakthrough was made following weeks of intelligence‑driven investigations, digital forensics, and cross‑state tactical operations coordinated by the Force Technical Intelligence Unit (TIU) in collaboration with detectives from the Ogun State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Eleweran.
According to a statement released by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on Tuesday, Mr. Wang was found dead in his office on January 12, 2025, with multiple stab wounds to his chest.
Investigators discovered that two factory workers suspected to be in a romantic relationship took advantage of reduced staffing on the day of the crime to disable the company’s security system, gain access to Mr. Wang’s office, and fatally attack him.
The suspects reportedly fled with the keys to Mr. Wang’s residence, which they later burgled before escaping Ogun State with stolen cash.
Acting on actionable intelligence, operatives tracked the suspects to Jos, Plateau State.
