The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the discovery of the decomposing body of a Togolese national, identified as Azamba Midowosso Joseph, in his apartment at Silver Estate, Idimu, Lagos.
According to intelligence sources quoted by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, on Thursday, the incident occurred on Oct. 22 after one Gabriel Folunsho Ogunrotimi perceived a foul odour emanating from the residence of the deceased at No. 11, Michael Adeboye Street.
It was gathered that Ogunrotimi, who is the landlord of the building, traced the odour to the apartment of the tenant and, on peeping through the window, saw the lifeless body of Joseph lying on the bed.
A team of police detectives from the Idimu Division visited the scene, took photographs, and forcefully gained entry into the apartment, where the decomposed body was formally discovered.
