The Nigeria Police Force has tracked down and had summoned officers involved in a disturbing video showing police officers allegedly extorting motorists.
The clip, now viral and has sparked outrage online, showed officers demanding “five thousand naira” from travelers returning from a burial.
One officer blatantly took the cash from each individual, justifying it as payment for “five liters of fuel.”

Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the development in a Facebook post.
Without changing a word, he declared: “This action is totally condemned. The officers have been identified and summoned to the force headquarters for necessary action. We will not condone any act of indiscipline and unprofessionalism. We will update the public on our decisions as soon as possible. Thanks”
The Force says disciplinary steps are already in motion.
