The Nigeria Police Force has extended goodwill to Nigerians as the country enters the ember months, urging citizens to remain vigilant and prioritize safety during the season.
In a statement posted on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on September 1, 2025, the force noted that the period is often characterised by increased travel, business activities, and festive preparations.
It encouraged the public to drive carefully, obey traffic regulations, and promptly report suspicious activities.
The police stressed their commitment to ensuring national security and working with communities to maintain peace throughout the ember months.

“This season is usually filled with more travels, business activities, and festive preparations. While we celebrate, let’s also remember to drive safely and obey traffic rules, stay alert and report any suspicious activities, and work together with us for the peace and safety of our country. The Nigeria Police Force remains committed to your security and well-being as we journey through these months together,” the statement read.
The force further wished Nigerians a safe and rewarding ember months season.
