Nigeria’s national electricity grid collapsed again on Tuesday morning, January 27, 2026, marking the second total system failure in five days and plunging millions of residents across the country into darkness.
At about 11:00 a.m., electricity supply to all 11 distribution companies fell to zero, signalling a complete grid shutdown.
