Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has publicly responded to a statement by Emeka Rollas, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), accusing him of misconduct, disrespect, and undermining her family’s contributions to the industry.
Rollas posted his detailed defense on Facebook in the early hours of Thursday, addressing allegations circulating about his leadership, financial dealings, and interactions with Daniels and her family. In the post, he claimed that his remarks about Daniels were intended as concern for her wellbeing, not disrespect, and clarified that ₦200 million cited as funding for the AGN office was actually intended for film production. He also highlighted his administration’s achievements, including successfully convening state chapters for guild conventions, and affirmed that upcoming elections would proceed as planned.
In response, Daniels took to Instagram later on Thursday, expressing shock and anger at Rollas’ statements. She described his comment suggesting she “needed help” as unwarranted and insulting, and accused him of overstepping boundaries by making remarks about her mother, Rita Daniels, a long-time supporter of the guild.
“As an established actor, from childhood to my prime… I say you are a disgrace of a president who just visits one office to the other enriching his pocket in the guise of catering to the wellbeing of actors,” Daniels wrote.
She further alleged that under Rollas’ eight-year tenure, the guild had failed to implement meaningful reforms for actors, including fair residual payments. Daniels claimed that the opening of the guild office, cited by Rollas as an achievement, was largely funded by her family.

The actress also accused Rollas of inappropriate conduct, stating he frequently brought women to her family home “for swimming lessons,” which she had warned him about. She suggested that her refusal to tolerate such behavior fueled his “bitterness.”
Daniels voiced support for her mother’s leadership ambitions within the guild, calling for “a beautiful female president with advanced male advisors,” and criticized what she saw as attempts to discredit her mother. She ended her post emphatically: “I don’t like rubbish.”
The escalating feud has sparked widespread debate within Nollywood, highlighting tensions between personal relationships, professional conduct, and governance in the entertainment industry. At the time of filing, no further official statement had been issued by the AGN.
