First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu has donated buses to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Wing, urging young Nigerians to embrace patience, hard work and integrity rather than chasing quick success.
She presented the vehicles to the youth leaders during a meeting at the State House in Abuja on Friday, July 31, describing the donation as support for their grassroots mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Addressing the delegation, the First Lady advised the youths to cultivate resilience and contentment, stressing that enduring success comes through diligence rather than shortcuts.
“You have to have the eagle’s mentality. When the eagle sees the storm, it laughs at it and sees how it can fly above it. That is what you should all do. You should always look for your own path and not because that person has it, I want it,” she said.
Mrs Tinubu explained that the buses were purchased with contributions from individuals who support her activities and that she chose to pass the gesture on to the party’s youth wing.
“God always knows our needs and that is what the young people do not know. They are always in a hurry, but you are not selfish.”
“In this office, I don’t beg. God told me not to beg. It is whatever He provides that I work with and I am teaching you how to learn contentment and not be begarly.”

“You have done well because you have never made such requests from my office, I am delighted because you need the buses to work.”
She also praised the youth leaders for working together to strengthen the APC at the grassroots and encouraged them to continue promoting the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration and the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Responding on behalf of the youth wing, APC National Youth Leader, Hon. Dayo Israel, thanked the First Lady for what he described as a timely intervention that would boost the group’s operations across the country.
He assured her that the APC youth wing would remain committed to advancing the administration’s programmes while intensifying mobilisation efforts ahead of the next general election.
“We are committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda. What you have done today is to enhance our capacity to reach out not just for electoral mobilisation, but to improve the lives of Nigerians.”
“From this moment, we are now mummy’s men for Asiwaju, and we are going to set structures to run campaigns in the 36 states of the federation.”
“You have raised boys to men. We came here, many of us without vehicles, but we are leaving with brand-new buses. We are very grateful, ma,” Israel said.
