The Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has directed aspirants dissatisfied with the outcome of the recently concluded House of Representatives primary elections to submit their petitions starting Monday, May 18, 2026.
This follows the inauguration of the APC National Assembly Primary Appeal Committee for Imo State, whose Chairman and Secretary, Tuoyo Omatstuli and Hon. Godwin Anaughe, announced the commencement of petition submissions in a statement issued on Sunday.
According to the committee, aggrieved aspirants are to file their complaints at the APC State Secretariat located at 47 Okigwe Road, Owerri, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday.
The committee stressed that all petitions must be submitted within the specified timeframe and urged contestants seeking to challenge the outcome of the primaries to comply strictly with the directive.

It stated: “Notice is hereby given that, sequel to the just-concluded House of Representatives primary elections of the All Progressives Congress, the National Assembly Primary Appeal Committee for Imo State has been inaugurated and mandated to receive petitions/complaints arising from the House of Representatives primary elections held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in Imo State.
“The committee hereby invites aspirants in the said primary elections to submit petitions/complaints from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026, at the APC State Secretariat, 47 Okigwe Road, Owerri, Imo State.
“By this notice, aspirants who intend to appeal the outcome of the primary elections are hereby enjoined to ensure that petitions/complaints are submitted and to appear before the committee within the specified period.”
