Morocco secured a place in the Round of 16 after edging the Netherlands 3-2 on penalties following a dramatic 1-1 draw after 120 minutes.
The Atlas Lions looked destined for elimination after the Netherlands broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute, taking a late lead in a tightly contested encounter.
Morocco, however, refused to surrender and found a dramatic equaliser deep into stoppage time when Diop I. struck in the 90+1st minute to force the match into extra time.

Neither side could find a winner during the additional 30 minutes, sending the contest to a nerve-racking penalty shootout.
The shootout saw both teams miss crucial spot-kicks, with Crysencio Summerville failing for the Netherlands and Achraf Hakimi also unable to convert for Morocco.
With the scores level, Ismael Saibari stepped up and calmly buried the decisive penalty to hand Morocco a 3-2 shootout victory and send the Atlas Lions into the knockout stage.
Saibari’s composure from the spot proved the difference as Morocco completed a remarkable comeback, while the Netherlands bowed out of the tournament after a heartbreaking defeat.
