Salah Inspires Historic Win As Egypt Gets First World Cup Win In 92-Years

Egypt secured a historic 3-1 victory over New Zealand to record their first FIFA World Cup win since 1934, with captain Mohamed Salah delivering a goal and an assist in a memorable night for the Pharaohs.

The North Africans came into the match seeking a crucial result and were stunned early when New Zealand took the lead in the 15th minute through Surnam F., putting pressure on the Egyptian side.

Egypt now sit top of Group G with four points after Belgium and Iran played out a goalless draw on Sunday, leaving the Pharaohs in a strong position as they push for a place in the Round of 32.

Salah’s influential display earned widespread praise, with the Egyptian captain once again proving decisive on the biggest stage as his nation moved a step closer to the knockout rounds.
