Former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, Sam Amadi, has accused many individuals seeking public office under the African Democratic Congress, ADC, and the All Progressives Congress, APC, of being thieves.
He further alleged that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, is “a compromised, corrupt and biased organization” incapable of prosecuting President Bola Tinubu’s team.
In a post shared on his X handle on Thursday, the 14th of August, 2025, Amadi who is also the Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts claimed that almost all Nigerian governors and legislators are corrupt.
He stated that most of them have stolen public funds, singling out Mr. Peter Obi and a few others as exceptions.

Amadi wrote: “Two Sides of Truth: Almost all Nigerian govs & Legislators are corrupt. They stole, of @PeterObi & one or two.
“Most people running for office in ADC or APC are thieves.
“@officialEFCC is a compromised, corrupt & biased organization. It cannot prosecute Tinubu’s team.”
