Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo has announced an initiative to support parents and guardians struggling with school fees as the 2025/2026 academic session begins.
In a message shared on his social media account, Dakolo acknowledged the financial strain many families face during what he described as “school fees season.” He wrote:
“Dear parents/guardians, I know it’s school fees season. It’s not always easy, I know so first hand. So let me help lessen that burden a little bit with a token. Just DM the school bill to @theoyindaolu on IG. We would DM you the receipt of what we sent to the school.”
Under the arrangement, parents are required to send their children’s school bills via Instagram.

Payments, according to Dakolo, will be made directly to schools, and receipts will be shared as proof.
Although Dakolo did not specify the number of beneficiaries or the total amount earmarked for the gesture, the offer has drawn praise from fans and social media users.
Many have commended the singer for extending practical relief to families facing financial challenges.
