Popular Nigerian comedian and social commentator, Oluwaseyitan Lawrence Aletile, popularly known as Seyi Law, has taken to social media to strongly defend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, highlighting what he described as key achievements of the administration amid sustained public criticism.
In a lengthy post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account in the early hours of Saturday, Seyi Law dismissed critics of the president as willfully “blind” to ongoing development projects and policy reforms across the country. His post, written in a confrontational tone, listed several initiatives he credited to the Tinubu administration.
Among the achievements cited were the construction of the coastal road, the launch of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) student loan scheme, the dualisation and concrete reconstruction of the Ore–Akure Expressway, and the rehabilitation of the Shagamu–Benin Expressway. He also referenced progress on the Sokoto–Badagry Highway and reforms within the Ministry of Interior, including improvements in prison administration and immigration services.
Seyi Law further pointed to what he described as improvements in Nigeria’s macroeconomic indicators, including a reduction in public debt, rising foreign reserves, the absence of International Monetary Fund (IMF) debt, and a reported decline in inflation. He also mentioned tax reforms, enhanced local government financial autonomy, the CREDICORP initiative, Federal Housing Authority interventions, and investments in primary healthcare facilities.

The comedian acknowledged that some Nigerians might dismiss infrastructure projects as “basic” or remain unsatisfied despite initiatives such as the construction of technical colleges and the provision of free tuition, insisting that critics would “still complain” regardless of progress made.
He concluded his post with a firm declaration of support for the president, stating, “It is PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU GCFR till 2031.”
The post has since sparked widespread reactions online, drawing both praise from supporters who agree with his assessment and criticism from others who argue that economic hardship and rising living costs outweigh the administration’s achievements.
