Vice President Kashim Shettima arrived in Lagos on Monday, December 15, 2025, to participate as the Special Guest of Honour at the Chief of Army Staff Annual Conference 2025, a key annual gathering addressing Nigeria’s most pressing security challenges.

The conference, held at Nebo Hall, Abalti Barracks, Ojuelegba, comes at a time when Nigeria faces increasing threats from terrorism and other security concerns, making strategic military planning and collaboration with government leadership critical.

Shettima, representing President Bola Tinubu, was received with a formal military guard of honour, underscoring the event’s significance.

Over the course of the multi-day event, discussions are expected to focus on national security policy, anti-terrorism strategies, and initiatives aimed at reinforcing the army’s capacity to protect citizens and maintain stability across the country.
