Renowned Nigerian Afrobeats singer Peter Okoye has disclosed that the split of the legendary music duo PSquare was significantly impacted by the actions of their fans.

Speaking at the AYLIVE show, Peter shared how ongoing comparisons between him and his twin brother, Paul Okoye, created friction and heightened egos within the group.

Peter further explained that fans frequently chose sides, showing preference for one brother over the other. This created deeper rifts between them and ultimately contributed to the group’s breakup.

Peter said: “Fans are the reason Psquare no dey together today. Two brothers dey do one thing, ona dey talk say one better pass one, e con enter one head, he begin misbehave. If ona like make ona dey go house, I no send una.”
