Six family members of Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists have surrendered to troops of the Nigerian Army in Pulka, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.
According to an X post shared by security analysis, Zagazola Makama, on Wednesday, the six individuals surrendered to troops of Operation HADIN KAI stationed in Pulka.
It was revealed that the individuals escaped from a terrorist enclave in Bulakambula, Bama Local Government Area, before making their way to the security forces.
The post added that the six were handed over to representatives of the Grassroots Initiative for Strengthening Community Resilience (GISCOR) at its Pulka office for further assistance and processing.
In a related development, troops intercepted and rescued a female minor identified as a family member of an ISWAP terrorist at Hudugum village along the Gwoza-Limankara road in Gwoza LGA.

It gathered that the minor had escaped from a terrorist enclave in Waa, located in the Mandara Mountains.
The rescued minor was subsequently handed over to authorities at the Gwoza Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp for appropriate care and further processing.
The developments come amid continued military operations against terrorist groups in the Gwoza axis, with individuals associated with the insurgents reportedly escaping their enclaves and seeking safety in areas controlled by security forces.
