Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has called on residents to turn out massively for the November 8, 2025, governorship election, saying every vote counts in shaping the state’s future.
Soludo made the appeal on Wednesday, November 5, during a homecoming rally at the Central School Field in Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area, where he was received by a large crowd of supporters.
“Across Anambra, they say we are the consensus candidate, but your vote is your voice, and on November 8, I urge each of you to make that voice heard,” Soludo said. “This is the impact of grassroots mobilisation in shaping the future of Anambra State.”
The governor noted that his administration had achieved notable progress but needed continued public support to sustain its development agenda.
“We have accomplished so much together, but there is still more work to be done. Your continued support is vital for us to reach our goals,” he added.

In his closing remarks, Soludo said, “Election day is not just about choosing leaders; it is about choosing the future we want for our children and generations to come. Let us come together and show the strength of our community.”
The rally, which reportedly attracted donations exceeding ₦200 million, was marked by displays of unity and support from Soludo’s hometown.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reaffirmed its readiness for the election, scheduled to hold in 5,718 wards across the state.
INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, said 24,000 ad hoc staff and 540 accredited journalists would be deployed to ensure a credible process.
He confirmed that 16 candidates from different political parties would contest the election, including Soludo, who is seeking re-election under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
