Port Elizabeth – Chippa United have confirmed that Nigerian international goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has left the club after formally requesting his release.
The 28-year-old’s request was approved following careful consideration by the club’s management, the Port Elizabeth-based side announced on its official X account on Thursday.
Chippa United thanked Nwabali for his service, commitment, and professionalism during his time with the team and wished him success in the next phase of his career.

Nwabali joined Chippa United in 2022 and rose to prominence following his performances for Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, where the Super Eagles finished as runners-up.
His next destination has not yet been announced.
