Reality TV star and entrepreneur, Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has officially begun her Guinness World Record attempt for the most makeovers done in 24 hours, targeting 150 models.
The beauty entrepreneur kicked off the challenge at exactly 8:00 p.m. on Saturday at the John Randle Centre for Yorùbá Culture & History in Lagos, with fans, celebrities, and well-wishers in attendance. The event forms part of her three-day Tacha Beauty Festival, which runs from October 10 to 12, 2025.
Before commencing the record-breaking session, Tacha paid an emotional tribute to her late mother. A large poster displayed at the venue read: “Every makeover, every smile, every moment today is for you. Your legacy lives through me.” The reality star was seen kneeling before the banner in a brief moment of prayer.
According to her management team, the goal is to complete 150 full makeovers within 24 hours — a feat described as unprecedented in Nigeria’s beauty industry. The attempt is expected to run through the night and conclude on Sunday, after which the results will be submitted to Guinness World Records for official verification.

Tacha, who gained nationwide fame after appearing on Big Brother Naija: Pepper Dem Season in 2019, has since built a successful career as a media personality, influencer, and businesswoman.
The record attempt attracted a host of Nigerian celebrities, including Broda Shaggi, Hilda Baci, Dabota Lawson, Nons Miraj, Liquorose, Somadina Anyama, and Samuel Banks, all of whom were present to cheer her on.
If successful, Tacha will set a new global record, adding another milestone to her growing list of achievements in entertainment and entrepreneurship.
