In a statement on Saturday, the Command’s spokesperson, Olayinka Ayanlade, said the victim’s body had been taken to the mortuary of the General Hospital, Adeoyo, Ibadan.

Ayanlade explained that detectives who visited the scene observed bloodstains within the pavilion area, with blood oozing from the boy’s mouth and nose, and slight bruising on the nose. Items believed to belong to the deceased, including a pair of shoes and a shirt, were found nearby.

According to Ayanlade, “The case is being treated as a suspected murder, and the Command has commenced a thorough investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
