The fiancé of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, has claimed that the 40-year-old actress died at a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
Onadeko made the claim during an interview with Celestial Reality Check on Saturday, August 8, 2026, three days after Osoba’s death was announced.
He said an unidentified caller contacted him shortly after midnight and informed him that Osoba had died at a police station. Although the caller did not identify the station, Onadeko said he went to a nearby police station after receiving the information.
He also dismissed allegations that Osoba was poisoned, maltreated or prevented from accessing her vehicle, and denied claims that funds raised for her breast cancer treatment were diverted or used to build his church.
According to him, the donations were paid into Osoba’s personal account and he never had access to the money.

Osoba previously underwent surgery and other treatment for breast cancer before returning to acting. Onadeko maintained that cancer was not responsible for her death.
He also said Osoba had struggled with smoking and that she left his church about three weeks before her death. He said he contacted one of her uncles after learning of her passing.
Osoba’s death was announced on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, following reports that she died on August 4. She was 40.
The cause and circumstances of her death remain undisclosed. Onadeko’s claim that she died at a police station has not been independently confirmed.
The actress is scheduled to be buried on Thursday, August 13, 2026, in Iperu Remo, Ogun State.
