Tiger Woods was released on bail early Saturday following his arrest on charges of driving under the influence after a car crash in Florida.
According to Sky Sports, Woods’ vehicle overturned on Friday afternoon while he attempted to overtake a trailer. He walked away unharmed, and the driver of the other vehicle involved also sustained no injuries.
Authorities reported that Woods appeared “lethargic” at the scene, with investigators suspecting impairment linked to medication.
Although a breathalyser test returned negative, he declined to provide a urine sample.
Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said Woods showed “signs of impairment” following the crash, leading to his arrest after roadside tests.
He was charged with driving under the influence, property damage, and refusal to submit to a lawful test, none of which are felonies.
The sheriff noted that Woods was driving at high speed before his vehicle tipped onto its side and slid a distance before coming to a stop.
The speed limit on the road was 30 miles per hour. Photos from the scene showed the vehicle lying on its side.

This incident adds to Woods’ history of traffic-related accidents. In 2017, he was arrested in Florida on suspicion of DUI and later pleaded guilty to reckless driving.
He also survived a near-fatal crash in California in 2021 that left him with multiple leg injuries requiring extensive surgery.
Authorities said the crash occurred near Woods’ Florida residence as he attempted to overtake a vehicle and clipped its trailer, causing his car to overturn.
