President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved key appointments into strategic national institutions, naming new leadership for the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA) and the Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO), Abuja.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President appointed Hon. Magaji Da’u Aliyu as Managing Director of SHESTCO, a federal facility responsible for technology-driven research and development, including the operation of a nuclear research centre.
The President also named Engr. Adesayo Olusegun Michael as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NEMSA, the agency charged with ensuring technical standards and safety in Nigeria’s electricity sector.
In addition to the CEO appointment, Tinubu constituted the Board of NEMSA with representatives drawn from across the country to reflect national spread and technical expertise. Those appointed include Engr. Aliyu Abdulazeez as Executive Director (Technical); Ikechi Clara Nwosu as Chairman representing the South East; and members Zubair Abdur’rauf Idris, Igba Elizabeth (North Central), Sani Alhaji Shehu (North East), Adeyemi Adetunji (South West), Engr. Emmanuel Eneji Nkpe (South South), and Engr. Charles Ogbonna Asogwa (South East).

President Tinubu also nominated Amina Gamawa from Bauchi State and Abdullahi Muktar from Kaduna State as Commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), a key body responsible for overseeing revenue sharing and fiscal transparency.
The two nominees have been forwarded to the Senate for screening and confirmation in line with constitutional requirements.
The appointments underscore the administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance, improve service delivery in critical sectors, and reposition federal institutions for greater efficiency and accountability.
