Tinubu Commissions New Terminal Extension at Maiduguri Airport

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Saturday, December 20, 2025, commission the newly built terminal extension at the Gen. Muhammadu Buhari International Airport, Maiduguri.

The commissioning will be performed by the President in his capacity as President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The terminal extension is part of the federal government’s ongoing airport infrastructure upgrade programme aimed at improving passenger handling capacity and operational efficiency at key airports nationwide.

The Maiduguri airport serves as a major aviation hub in the North-East, supporting civilian travel and security-related operations.
