President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday, May 3, 2026, departed Abuja for a three-nation tour of France, Kenya and Rwanda, aimed at advancing Nigeria’s economic diplomacy and investment drive.
The Presidency had earlier scheduled the trip for Saturday, May 2, before shifting the departure by a day.
The visit is expected to last about two weeks and will combine multilateral engagements with bilateral meetings involving political and business leaders.

Tinubu will begin in France with high-level discussions focused on investment, energy transition and economic cooperation.
He will then travel to Nairobi to attend the Africa-France Summit holding from May 11 to May 12, 2026, where African and European leaders will deliberate on financing, climate priorities and digital transformation.
The president’s final stop will be Kigali, where he is scheduled to participate in the Africa CEO Forum from May 14 to May 15, 2026, a platform that brings together top executives and policymakers to chart pathways for growth and private-sector development across Africa.
Officials said the tour is part of ongoing efforts to deepen international partnerships and showcase Nigeria’s reform programme to global investors.
