President Bola Tinubu has extended congratulations to Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal on Saturday, January 10, 2026, as he celebrates his 60th birthday, highlighting his long-standing contributions to Sokoto State and Nigeria.
Tambuwal, born on January 10, 1966, has held key positions in Nigeria’s political landscape for over two decades.
He represented Tambuwal/Kebbe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives from 2003 to 2015, rising to become Speaker from 2011 to 2015.

He went on to serve two terms as governor of Sokoto State from May 29, 2015, to May 29, 2023, and now represents Sokoto South in the Senate.
In his message, Tinubu described Tambuwal as a dedicated public servant whose leadership has strengthened democratic institutions and supported national progress.
He commended Tambuwal’s experience in both legislative and executive roles and wished him continued health and success as he marks this milestone.
