Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026, convened a closed-door meeting with Nigeria’s service chiefs at the Presidential Villa as concerns mount over rising attacks on security personnel and military facilities across the country.
The update was disclosed in a post on X by the president’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
The meeting followed a separate engagement held a day earlier between the Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, and the nation’s service chiefs.
Also present at the Villa was the newly appointed Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu.

The security chiefs reportedly arrived without their official convoys.
