Tinubu Hosts Ghana’s President Mahama in Abuja

President Bola Tinubu is meeting with Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama at his official residence in the State House, Abuja.

Mahama arrived at around 2:30 pm on Thursday, marking his first visit to Tinubu since taking office on 7 January 2025.

Their discussion is expected to centre on strengthening diplomatic ties between Nigeria and Ghana, alongside key regional issues within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

Both leaders are also set to explore cooperation in trade, security, and economic development.

Mahama previously visited Tinubu on 17 December 2024, shortly after winning Ghana’s presidential election on 7 December. Tinubu had expressed confidence that Mahama’s leadership would enhance stability in ECOWAS.
