President Bola Tinubu has met with French President Emmanuel Macron for a private dinner at the Élysée Palace in Paris.
The meeting, which took place on Thursday, was disclosed on Friday by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a post on X on Friday.
Onanuga said the private engagement underscored the longstanding ties between Nigeria and France, as well as the two countries’ shared interest in deepening bilateral cooperation.
The dinner brought Tinubu and Macron together in Paris amid ongoing efforts to strengthen relations between Nigeria and France.

Photographs released from the meeting showed Tinubu with Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, at the Élysée Palace.
The images also captured the two presidents during their private engagement.
Nigeria and France have maintained diplomatic relations covering areas including trade, investment, security, education and cultural cooperation.
