Tinubu Orders Immediate Construction of Law School Hostels, Access Road in Abuja

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the swift commencement of key infrastructure projects for the Nigerian Law School in Abuja, directing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, to oversee their execution.

According to a statement on Tuesday by Wike’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, the President ordered the construction of two hostels—one male and one female—each with a capacity of 300 students.

The statement noted that the projects would be carried out under emergency consideration to address the pressing accommodation needs of students.

In addition to the hostels, President Tinubu also directed the construction of a road linking the Body of Benchers Secretariat in Jabi District with Nile University.

The road is expected to ease traffic flow in the area, particularly along the busy route leading to the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

“These projects will not only improve the welfare of Nigerian Law School students but also enhance access and reduce congestion within the Jabi axis,” the statement added.
