President Bola Tinubu is meeting with Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, days after Adeleke secured re-election in the state governorship election.
Adeleke arrived at the Villa at about 5:25 pm on Thursday, wearing a navy blue traditional outfit and carrying a walking stick. He stepped out of a black Toyota Land Cruiser SUV alongside the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.

The meeting marks Adeleke’s first engagement with President Tinubu since his victory in last Saturday’s governorship election.
The visit follows a telephone call by Tinubu to congratulate Adeleke on his re-election, with the President describing the result as “a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our country” and urging him to foster unity among Osun residents irrespective of their political affiliations.
Several other officials from Osun State also arrived at the Villa around 5:40 pm through the corridors of the premises.
Those spotted included the Director-General of the Adeleke Campaign Council, Senator Lere Oyewumi; a member of the council, Sunday Bisi; the Chief of Staff to the Osun State Governor, Akinleye Kazeem; and the member of the House of Representatives representing the Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency, Bamidele Salam.
Further details of the meeting are expected later.
