Tinubu Runs Inclusive Government, Spreads Projects Nationwide — FG

The Federal Government has moved to reassure Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu is running an inclusive government that treats all regions fairly in both projects and appointments.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, said on Sunday, August 31, that the administration’s record shows no part of the country is being sidelined, despite claims of regional bias.

“In the light of recent insinuations, half-truths and fake information being circulated, we find it expedient to make it abundantly clear that President Bola Tinubu’s administration has been guided, at all times, by the principles of fairness, justice, and equity in the distribution of federal government projects, appointments, and opportunities across all six geopolitical zones of our country,” Idris declared.

He explained that the government has spread infrastructure projects across the nation, including highways, railways, and metroline systems.

Projects such as the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway in the South and the Badagry–Sokoto Highway in the North, he said, were clear evidence of balance.

Idris also pointed to the ongoing construction of metroline projects in Lagos, Ogun, Kano, and Kaduna. He revealed that these would not only ease transportation but also create over 250,000 jobs nationwide.

According to him, the Northwest received the highest share of capital project approvals, worth ₦5.97 trillion, but he stressed that all other regions have benefited significantly.

On appointments, Idris said Tinubu has given priority to competence and inclusivity.

“President Bola Tinubu has not only kept faith with Nigerians but has proven himself to be a fair, pragmatic, and consequential reformer. His leadership is inclusive, his vision is unifying, and his commitment to equity and justice is unwavering,” he said.

The minister urged Nigerians to look beyond what he described as “false narratives” and judge the government by tangible results on the ground.
