Tinubu Shares Photos From Saudi Arabia Umrah Visit, Thanks King Salman

President Bola Tinubu has shared photographs from his visit to Saudi Arabia, where he performed the Umrah pilgrimage and was granted the rare privilege of entering the Holy Kaaba in Makkah.

Tinubu shared the pictures on his official Instagram page on Monday, announcing the conclusion of his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The President said he had the honour of entering the sacred structure to pray alongside members of his delegation and expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for extending the privilege to them.

He also appreciated the Saudi leaders for their hospitality and what he described as their brotherly care, noting that the gesture reflected the longstanding bonds of faith and friendship between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.

Tinubu said he used the opportunity to pray for peace, unity and prosperity in Nigeria and for all Nigerians.

“In those sacred moments, I prayed for peace, unity and prosperity for our dear nation and for all Nigerians,” he wrote.

The visit included the performance of Umrah, also known as the lesser Hajj, in Makkah on Friday, October 30, 2026.

The President was accompanied by members of his delegation, including government officials and other prominent Nigerians, during the spiritual visit.

The Holy Kaaba, located within the Grand Mosque in Makkah, is the most sacred site in Islam. Access to its interior is restricted and granted on special occasions.

Tinubu’s visit has drawn public attention following the release of photographs showing him and members of his delegation inside the sacred structure.
