Tinubu to Govs: ‘Nigerians Still Complaining Lead the Way in Delivering Change’

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on governors to take the lead in delivering progressive change to Nigerians, emphasizing that despite efforts, there are still complaints from the grassroots.

Speaking at the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja on Thursday, President Tinubu urged governors to “wet the grass more,” underscoring their crucial role in ensuring the success of the nation’s development agenda.

He said, “Nigerians are still complaining at the grassroot. To you, the governors, you have to wet the grass more and lead the way in delivering progressive change to Nigerians.”

He further highlighted the importance of collaboration in achieving the country’s goal of food sovereignty, stating, “Those who are working with me to achieve sovereign food guarantee for our country, we will continue to work hard for you, for the Nigerians; and listen to all of you to achieve the expected goals of this country.”
