Troops of 3 Battalion (Motorised), Nigerian Army, have arrested five suspects and intercepted vehicles and other logistics allegedly destined for terrorist couriers and vendors in Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State.
The operation, conducted in the Ladari and Gamboru Garage areas of Gamboru-Ngala, was aimed at disrupting the supply networks believed to support terrorist activities across the area.
According to a post by security analyst, Zagagola Magama, on Monday, troops arrested Ali Dala, 35, in Ladari during the targeted operation.
Four other suspects identified as Babagana Amarja, 41, Garba Mohammed, 37, Abdullahi Mohammed, 53, and Mado Ali, 39, were subsequently apprehended at Gamboru Garage.
The troops also seized four vehicles suspected to have been involved in the movement of the logistics.
Vehicles recovered include a white Volkswagen Golf 3 wagon, registration number A877 DKW, a black Golf 3 wagon, registration number ACA 787 AAC, a red Golf 3 wagon, registration number GAS 35; and a brown Vendon saloon car, registration number KBG 14 XA.
Other items recovered during the operation included eight jerrycans of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and a sack containing assorted medicines concealed inside a sack of charcoal.

The interception is considered significant as fuel, medicines and other essential supplies can serve as critical logistical support for terrorist networks operating in remote areas.
The five suspects and the recovered vehicles and items have been taken into custody at 3 Battalion for further investigation, with authorities expected to determine the intended recipients and establish the wider network behind the alleged supply operation.
The operation forms part of sustained efforts by troops of Operation HADIN KAI and other security agencies to disrupt terrorist logistics and supply routes across Borno State and deny criminal elements the resources required to sustain their operations.
Security sources said the general security situation across the theatre remains calm but unpredictable, while troops continue to maintain operational pressure against terrorist elements and their support networks.
The latest arrests underscore the importance of intelligence-driven operations in identifying and dismantling the logistics chains that facilitate terrorist activities in the North-East.
