Troops Arrest Suspected ISWAP Spy In Yobe

Troops of Sector 2 Mobile Intervention Battalion (MIB), in collaboration with local hunters, have arrested a suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP informant in the Damaturu Local Government Area of Yobe State.

This was contained in a post shared by a security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagagola Magama on Thursday.

According to the post, the suspect, identified as Alhaji Ibrahim, 42, was arrested following intelligence reports on his alleged communication and activities with terrorist elements.

It was gathered that the suspect is a vigilante attached to Government Girls Unity College (GGUC), Damaturu.

The post further disclosed that the suspect hails from Ahajiri village in Maisandari Ward of Damaturu Local Government Area.

The suspect is currently in the custody of Sector 2 for further investigation.
