Troops of Sector 1, Sub-Sector 12, have arrested three suspected drug peddlers and recovered substances suspected to be cannabis sativa during a night patrol in Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State.
According to intelligence sources quoted by Security Analyst, Zagazola Makama on Sunday, the suspects were arrested on Saturday night along Angware Market in Jos East while troops were conducting a routine night patrol in the area.
The suspects were identified as 23-year-old Emmanuel Izan, 22-year-old Samson Dembo and 22-year-old Itseh Musa.

Security sources said the troops recovered quantities of substances suspected to be cannabis sativa from the suspects during the operation.
Following the arrest, the suspects and the recovered exhibits were handed over to the Jos East Local Government Area Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further investigation and necessary action.
The operation forms part of ongoing security efforts to curb illicit drug activities and other forms of criminality in communities across Plateau State.
