Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has expressed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections, stating that the president would only lose if voting were conducted on social media platforms.
Sani made the remark during an interview on Channels Television while responding to discussions surrounding Tinubu’s popularity online and the growing political conversations ahead of the next election cycle.
According to the governor, social media narratives do not accurately reflect the realities on the ground or the voting strength of the ruling party among ordinary Nigerians.

“If the election is going to be conducted on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or social media, Asiwaju will lose, but if it is people who will vote through the ballot at polling units, he is going to win 70 per cent of the votes,” he stated.
The governor maintained that the president continues to enjoy significant grassroots support across the country despite criticisms and debates often amplified online.
His comments come amid increasing political activities and alignments ahead of the 2027 general elections, with both supporters and opposition figures intensifying public engagement across traditional and digital platforms.
