United Nigeria Airlines has confirmed that one of its aircraft was damaged in a ground incident at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, caused by a jet blast from a nearby plane. The airline disclosed this in a travel advisory on Sunday.
The affected aircraft, an Embraer 190, had arrived from Akanu Ibiam International Airport on Flight UN0503 and was preparing for another scheduled flight when the incident occurred.
It was parked in an open bay between two other aircraft at the domestic terminal.
According to the airline, multiple ground operations were taking place simultaneously.
While one nearby aircraft began taxiing after completing its boarding process, another was performing a pushback onto the taxi line.

The resulting jet blast displaced a baggage trolley, which struck the United Nigeria Airlines plane.
The impact damaged external components of the aircraft, including the antenna and the forward fuselage near the nose landing gear.
The aircraft had been scheduled to operate Flight UN0500 at noon.
United Nigeria Airlines said the plane has been grounded for comprehensive inspection in line with safety protocols.
The airline reassured passengers of its commitment to safety and operational standards and apologised for any inconvenience caused, adding that efforts are ongoing to minimise disruption and provide support to affected travellers.
