The Lagos State Government has sealed Vaniti Club House, located on Adeola Odeku Street in Victoria Island, following repeated violations of traffic regulations that disrupted free vehicular movement and endangered road users.

Officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), led by the agency’s General Manager, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, carried out the enforcement on Monday after several warnings issued to the club’s management were ignored. Despite continuous public sensitization and engagements with stakeholders in the hospitality and nightlife sector, the club allegedly continued illegal roadside parking and encroachment on public highways, contravening the Lagos State Transport Sector Reform Law of 2018.

“The activities of Vaniti Club have repeatedly compromised safety and obstructed traffic flow along Adeola Odeku, a key commercial corridor in Victoria Island. This enforcement became necessary to protect the commuting public,” Bakare-Oki said during the operation.

The sealing of Vaniti Club is part of an ongoing clampdown on establishments that habitually obstruct traffic across Lagos, especially in high-density areas such as Victoria Island, Lekki, and Ikeja. LASTMA has reiterated that such actions will continue until affected venues comply fully with traffic laws.

Residents have been urged to report any similar infractions to LASTMA through its dedicated hotline: 0800-00-LASMA (0800-00527862).
