Viktor Gyökeres Officially Joins Arsenal on Long-Term Deal

Arsenal have officially secured the signature of Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres, confirming a long-term contract with the prolific 27-year-old forward after weeks of speculation.

The former Sporting CP star becomes the Gunners’ marquee signing of the summer, bringing with him a reputation as one of Europe’s most complete and physically dominant forwards.

Gyökeres was in scintillating form last season in Portugal, netting 27 goals across all competitions and attracting interest from several top clubs — but it’s North London where he’ll now call home.

“Viktor is a player we’ve admired for a long time,” said Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. “His work rate, intelligence, and ability to score and create will add a new dimension to our attack.”

The Swedish international, who also shone in UEFA competitions, adds firepower to a squad already brimming with young talent.

Arsenal fans will now eagerly await his debut in red and white — and with his record, the Emirates may be in for a thrilling ride.
