Some voters at Omagba Phase 2 in Anambra State have expressed anger after alleging that they were promised money to vote for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), only to be left unpaid.
According to an eye witness, party agents assured them of cash rewards for their support during the governorship election.
After casting their ballots, the payments never came, leaving many feeling cheated.
“I was promised money after voting for APGA, but I haven’t received anything. I feel completely used,” one voter, who asked not to be named, said.
Others at the polling unit reported similar experiences, describing the incident as “a betrayal” and “disheartening.”

Election monitors say that transactional voting remains a significant issue in parts of Anambra, despite measures to prevent it.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has not issued a response to the claims.
