Without Buhari’s intervention, bandits would’ve taken over Imo, says Uzodinma

Hope Uzodinma, the Governor of Imo State, said on Tuesday that hoodlums and bandits would have taken control of Imo State if it hadn’t been for President Muhammadu Buhari’s quick action.

Uzodimma stated this during the President’s visit to Owerri, the state capital, to commission some projects by his administration.

“Your prompt intervention helped to restore peace and order in our state. But for your timely, prompt, and fatherly intervention through the security agencies, Imo State would have been overrun by bandits and hoodlums. For this, I also say thank you Mr President,” he said.

The 36 km dual carriageway of the Owerri-Orlu route in Imo was earlier opened by Buhari. Buhari then had a meeting with South-East leaders. Other South East governors, though, were noticeably missing.
